COA Guidelines for Cargo-Worthy Containers
The COA is currently developing standard criteria for Cargo-Worthy Containers. The term “Cargo-Worthy” may be applied to a used ISO Dry Freight General Purpose container at the time of transfer of ownership if the container is assessed to be in an acceptable structural condition for carrying general purpose cargo on a one-way trip in accordance with the provisions of a shipper owned container (SOC).
It is anticipated that the document will be agreed by COA Members at the end of June, and will be published in July 2018.
