1. Meeting Arrangements

  • The 24th COA Members Meeting will take place at the Sofitel Hotel Hamburg on Monday 4 November 2019 – the day before Intermodal Europe 2019. To Register for the Meeting, click HERE
  • The conference timetable will feature a 11:00 start (Registration and Refreshments from 10:30 onwards), with plenary sessions in the morning and parallel Work Group Sessions in the Afternoon
  • The conference will focus on key container industry issues: Market Trends, Manufacturing and Design, IPPC< Coatings, IT/Telematics, Cargoworthy, Reefers, Depot Management and Standards. Other items may be added, subject to Member requests.
  • The Meeting will conclude with a “Welcome to Hamburg” Networking Reception for all participants.

Group A: Focus on Container Coatings

Many new developments coming on stream that are in due course expected to supersede the existing waterborne coatings.
The aim of this Special Coatings Session is to:

  1. Update and inform members of coating industry developments relating to container new production
  2. Prepare a “COA Coatings Information Paper” for Members, based on the results and presentations in this session

Group B: IT, Telematics, Track & Trace

The COA supports its members to help develop standards and guidelines for Telematics, Track & Trace. This Session will review a number of issues and initiatives:

  • Progress on the development of interoperability standard for Reefer Containers
  • Future work on a standard for Dry Freight Containers
  • Co-operation with other Organisations
  • ISO 9897 Standard for Container Repair Coding Standard for EDI
